These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Vallum Group's catering and event services and our website. By engaging our services or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change based on supplier costs and availability.
A booking is confirmed when:
Final guest numbers must be confirmed at least 7 working days before the event date. You will be charged for the confirmed number or the actual number attending, whichever is greater.
A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total estimated cost is required to confirm your booking.
The balance of payment is due no later than 14 days before the event date. Events will not proceed without full payment received.
We accept payment by bank transfer, credit/debit card, or cheque (subject to clearance).
Late payments may incur an administrative fee and interest charges. We reserve the right to cancel services for non-payment.
Events may be postponed once without penalty, subject to availability and at least 60 days' notice. A second postponement will be treated as a cancellation.
We reserve the right to cancel services due to circumstances beyond our control (force majeure). In such cases, we will provide a full refund of payments made.
Menus must be finalised at least 28 days before the event date. Changes after this time may incur additional charges.
Please inform us of any dietary requirements, allergies, or intolerances at least 14 days before the event. We will make every effort to accommodate special requirements but cannot guarantee complete absence of allergens.
We reserve the right to substitute ingredients of similar quality and value if original items become unavailable.
You are responsible for securing the venue and ensuring we have appropriate access, facilities, and permissions.
We reserve the right to inspect the venue before the event to assess facilities and requirements.

We maintain comprehensive public liability insurance and food safety insurance.
Our liability is limited to the total value of the contract. We are not liable for:
You are responsible for the conduct of your guests and any damage they cause to our equipment or staff.
If we provide alcohol service, we reserve the right to refuse service to intoxicated guests and will comply with all licensing laws. You are responsible for obtaining necessary licenses unless otherwise agreed.
Any equipment hired from us remains our property. You are responsible for any loss or damage beyond normal wear and tear. Replacement costs will be charged for missing or damaged items.
We will provide appropriately qualified and trained staff for your event. Staff numbers are based on guest numbers and service requirements.
Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:
All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and designs, is our property or used with permission. You may not reproduce or use this content without our written consent.
We may take photographs at your event for marketing purposes. Please inform us if you do not wish your event to be photographed or featured in our marketing materials.
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
If you have any complaints about our services, please contact us within 7 days of the event. We will investigate and respond within 14 days.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted on our website. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our quotation and booking confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between you and Vallum Group.
